🎮 About the Game

Serpent is a fast-paced puzzle arcade game where you control a slithering snake through maze-like levels. Eat fruit, avoid poison, capture the golden key and move on before time runs out! With retro pixel art, smooth controls and three unique levels of increasing difficulty, Serpent has thrilling challenges perfect for strategic thinking or competitive high-score runs.

Built in Godot Engine as my second completed Godot project, this game blends classic snake mechanics with modern puzzle-maze excitement.

🕹️ How to Play

• Move: Arrow Keys or WASD
• Pause: ESC key
• Goal: Eat fruit 🍎, grab the key 🔑,  exit before time runs out ⏱️
• Avoid: Poison apples 💀 and your own tail!

🧩 Levels

Level	Time	Key Behavior
1	40s	Grid movement, random turns
2	30s	Free-style, unpredictable
3	20s	Teleports every few seconds

🏆 Scoring and Leaderboard

• Fruit: +10 points each
• Final score submitted only on escape (Score submission is not working on mobile platforms)
• Reach for the top spot on the leaderboard!

🖥️Platforms

• PC platform is recommended for full game experience.

• Currently it is only available on PC and Phone.

❓ FAQ

Is the game safe to download?

 Yes! Windows may flag the .exe as “unrecognized” — this is normal for small indie games. No malware, no ads, no tracking.
